This is a short story about a young man who returns to his country and decides he might as well visit his father after his decade long absence. Upon arriving at his childhood neighbourhood, nostalgia gets the best of him.

This is a good example of how we all have a vast wealth of stories from our childhoods to call upon. Almost any random paragraph in this sad, nostalgic tale could be expanded into a full story in it's own right: the newly tarmacked road, Willy's kiosk, football in the yard etc. A good effort.
